IGN comments on Battlefield 4 "Game of the season" Article Debate
IGN co-founder Peer Schneider has issued an statement on “Battlefield 4 Game of the seasonInch Article debate.
On NeoGaf, Schneider clarified that IGN never authored any article predicting Battlefield 4 to become game of the season, and rather EA used unrealistic and set placeholder texts in game’s official website accolades section.

“Exactly why IGN’s Scott Lowe tweeted out this source code factor happens because we at IGN was clueless that what it really was and just how it arrived. We requested EA. They essentially stated someone used unrealistic placeholder copy. We did not write it, we did not give permission, we do not share unpublished previews/reviews with publishers or developers. Someone was simply utilizing a template for any promo page and staked the place where they’ll list accolades.”
Battlefield 4 is going to be formally unveil at GDC 2013 on March 27.
