Apple ipod device silhouette campaign scoops gold awards
Apple’s ipod device ads have won two major European advertising awards.
The “silhouette” campaign scooped two Gold awards only at that year’s European Effie awards. The campaign also won gold in america captured.
The “Euro Effies” try to recognise promotional initiatives for his or her effectiveness. The ipod device ads won a Gold Award within the IT and Telecoms category along with a Gold Award for Brand Integration.
Awards director general Dominic Lyle stated: “With 86 records from 23 agencies in 13 countries, 2005 continues to be another record year for that Awards. Two trends are particularly noticeable: first of all, that the amount of integrated communications campaigns has rocketed, reflecting the popularity towards full incorporation of non conventional channels into mainstream marketing programmes and next, the overall quality of both campaigns themselves and also the records was markedly greater compared to 2003 and 2004.”
The EFFIE awards were introduced in 1968 through the New You are able to American Marketing Association and therefore are now celebrated in 30 countries worldwide.
The Ecu awards were presented on Thursday 29th September, at Le Plaza Hotel Theatre, The city, Belgium.
